1- How do I check-in?

Passengers traveling within India: Passengers can check in for indigo airlines maximum two hours or minimum 45 minutes prior to the travel. Passengers must note that boarding gates will be closed 30 minutes prior to the departure of indigo flights at all airports. Passengers, who are traveling only with hand baggage, have the facility of web check in online by visiting site goindigo.in. They can check-in online maximum 48 hours prior and minimum 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure of flights.

Passengers traveling outside India: Passengers can check-in maximum four hours prior and minimum 75 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of indigo flight. Passengers must note that boarding gates will be closed 75 minutes prior to the departure time at all airports.

2. What details are essential to enter the airport terminal and check-in at the counter?

Passengers travelling within India: Passengers would need to provide a print out of their itinerary along with a valid photo id proof in order to enter the airport to fly with indigo airlines.

Please note: Passengers may be required to present the credit/ debit card or a photocopy of the card that is being used for booking the tickets online at the check-in counter.

Passengers may present any one of the following documents as a valid photo id proof:

Passengers travelling outside India (Except to and from Nepal): Valid passport is the only acceptable proof of identification. All passengers including children and infants on board of indigo airlines will need to present a valid passport and visa at the check-in. The onus of arranging and furnishing adequate travel documents lies on the passenger.

3. Can boarding be denied if booking details do not match Photo Id?

Yes, in case the boarding details (title, name, last name) do not match the photo id, boarding may be denied on.

4. What are specific requirements for foreign nationals travelling to India?

Foreign nationals travelling to Imphal will require to carry a protected area permit issued by home department of Manipur. Boarding can be denied in absence of valid protected area permit.
